BriannaSpeight is an emerging artist based in Tarntanya/Adelaide, South Australia. Sheworks primarily with photography and is interested in gender issues and post-humanfeminism. Her layered photographic work seessoft textile surfaces interacting with the body, and various objects suspendedin compositions which emerge through staging techniques and photomontage. Brianna completed a Bachelor of Visual Art specialising in Photography (2016) and Bachelor of Visual Art & Design Honours (2017) at the University of South Australia, Adelaide.

In2022 Brianna completed a 3-month residency at the British School in Rome fromApril - June, an awarded position supported by Helpmann Academy. 2021 sawinclusion in Adelaide X at POP Gallery; HEATWAVE at West Gallery; a Mentorshipwith Eleanor Scicchitano; and a short residency at POP Studios. Sincegraduating with Honours in 2017, she has actively participated in opportunitiesto develop her  experimental photographicpractice including collaborations, residencies (Carclew, Chapel Hill, SauerbierHouse); the Guildhouse Catapult mentorship; group and solo exhibitions;workshops and grants to support projects. When away from the studio Briannaworks at Flinders University Museum of Art and was until recently a Co-Directorat FELTspace ARI.
