Brianna Speight (b. 1993 Adelaide) completed a Bachelor of Visual Art specialising in Photography (2016) and Bachelor of Visual Art & Design Honours (2017) at the University of South Australia, Adelaide.

Her photography-based work playfully intersects with soft-sculpture and performance to reframe her own experiences with femininity within abstract and theatrically staged scenes. Central to her practice is the idea that staged photography offers the opportunity to critically reflect on self and surroundings and to share with audiences the impacts of language, representation and events.

In 2019 Brianna has participated in a residency in the Limestone Coast of South Australia, The Guildhouse Catapult Mentorship program with Mish Grigor, and held a solo exhibition 'Body Writing' at The Floating Goose Gallery. In 2018, her work was selected for the Helpmann Academy Graduate Exhibition where she received The Undergraduate Award for Excellence. For the year, she took up the position of Artist-in-Residence at Carclew, an awarded studio position, at the peak body for youth arts in South Australia. Other Group exhibitions include Universal Citizen at Adelaide Airport, Form and Feeling at Carclew and Tender at Sauerbier House. 2020 will see participation in a three month Artist-In-Residence program at Sauerbier House.
